Montreal Smoking Increases Body Pain Particularly Spine Pain

Smoking. We know how bad it is. Smoking is bad. The body doesn’t like it. Your spine hates it! Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic loves your spine and offers Montreal chiropractic care for your spine. You like your spine or at least need it! Do what you can to keep your spine healthy. Let Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic take care of your spine when it requires a little help to re-discover its healthy state. Step one toward health for a Montreal smoker suffering with back pain may require a chiropractic treatment plan that includes a plan to quit smoking.

Researchers are inquisitive about issues linked to smoking. In a review of 7547 patients who went through back surgery, they found that 18% were smokers. The researchers observed that contrasted with the non-smokers, the smokers were younger, male, nondiabetic, and nonobese. These patients who suffer with coronary artery disease were more likely to be smokers. Smokers who had lumbar spine back surgery presented initially more with leg pain than back pain and disability. Their employment, insurance/uninsured, and education status were also linked to smoking status. Fascinatingly though, smoking status didn’t affect the disability status one year after back surgery. (1) Modifying such risk factors work just as well for smokers and nonsmokers luckily. Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic would help a Montreal smoker who has Montreal back pain create a plan to stop smoking.

The body gets what is good for it…and what is not. Smoking is not. Examining 2307 smokers and non-smokers, researchers discovered that smoking is most strongly associated with spine pain. Headache, trunk pain and limb pain ensued. Active smoking is associated with pain in every part of the body. The spine and head take the brunt of the painful effect though. If a smoker does not like pain, you’ll want to think about stop smoking! (2) Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic is with you to support your attempt to stop smoking when you’re ready.
