One group of researchers stated that regular exercise has multi-system anti-aging effects and called for more research to acquire knowledge of just how molecular mediators of exercise benefits function in older folks rather than just looking for pharmaceuticals. BENEFICIAL DAILY EXERCISE STEPS

Walk each day with a goal of 7000 steps. Why? Research. 2,110 black and white men and women and their steps-per-day counts were investigated. They wore an accelerometer from 2005 to 2006 and then were monitored for a mean of 10.8 years. Their stats were analyzed in 2020 and 2021 to measure what, if any, association was found between steps-per-day and all-mortality death risk. This study was a portion of the larger CARDIA (Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults) study. Steps-taken-per-day were described as “low” (less than 7000), “moderate” (7000-9999) and “high” (more than 10,000). Stepping intensity – stepping rate – played a role, too. Moderate/high step rate was associated with a decreased risk of mortality in black and white women and men in middle-age who walked 7000 steps or more a day compared with those who took less. (2) Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic sees how walking helps – 7000 steps or not – and encourages Montreal chiropractic patients to take walks as best they can. Any walk works!
