Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic Knows Anatomy Well, Knows Your Spine Well
Your Montreal chiropractor knows your spine! Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic knows anatomy. Back in chiropractic school, your chiropractor studied a lot about anatomy of the spine and utilizes that knowledge daily. Knowledge of the spine’s anatomy is continually at the forefront of your chiropractor’s mind as you and each spine pain, neck pain, back pain patient walks into the practice! It is so exciting! (Are you not you happy someone finds it exciting?)
LEARNING ANATOMY IN SCHOOL
Going through school, we were all guilty of learning only to pass a test. Going to professional school, such learning is more important than ever since it will impact everyday work. (How much do you remember from your high school or college days?) An international survey of chiropractors and anatomists discovered that chiropractors felt that a higher level of anatomy teaching during chiropractic education was advantageous for clinical practice, permitting better understanding, application, and analysis of anatomical material to support a clinical decision in their daily clinical practice. (1) An Australian report of chiropractors compared their knowledge of anatomy to that of chiropractic students. The chiropractic practitioners reported that they knew their anatomy and demonstrated it by taking a test of their knowledge. This was contrasted to the equivalent in their chiropractic student counterparts. The chiropractors demonstrated that they kept their knowledge of anatomy - and knew they did! – breaking the thought that practicing chiropractors may not keep it after a period of time. Knowledge of anatomy is used every day in chiropractic practice, and chiropractors know their anatomy. (2) Your Montreal chiropractor does! We’ll be happy to talk about it!
SPINAL ANATOMY KNOWLEDGE PUT TO USE IN CHIROPRACTIC CLINICAL PRACTICE
Performing spinal manipulation every day applies knowledge of the spine’s anatomy every day. The most ordinary reasons people said they sought chiropractic care were low back pain (49.7%), neck pain (22.5%), and extremity issues (10.0%). The most common treatment they experienced were spinal manipulation (79.3%), soft tissue therapy (35.1%), and formal patient education (31.3%). (3) Spinal conditions get a great deal of attention from chiropractic patients and their chiropractors, of course! But positive side effects of chiropractic care emerge in the medical literature as well like potential cardiovascular benefit. In a placebo-controlled, assessor-blinded, randomized trial, researchers described the immediate effects of upper thoracic spine manual therapy on cardiovascular autonomic control of musculoskeletal pain patients (ie, back pain, spine pain, neck pain, etc.). The researchers explained that musculoskeletal pain increased the risk of cardiovascular events. (4) Come feel these benefits of chiropractic treatment based on knowledge of the spine’s anatomy.
