Montreal Dizziness and Neck Pain Care at Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic

Dizziness is a problem. Alone, dizziness can be frustrating, but it can also affect balance and contribute to falls. Dizziness with associated cervical spine disc degeneration can be a problem for older folks. Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic shares new research about chronic neck pain and its affiliation to dizziness as well as the role Montreal chiropractic care contributes in neck pain relief and frequently related dizziness.

CERVICAL SPINE DISC DEGENERATION AND DIZZINESS

Patients with chronic neck pain due to cervical degenerative disease often have dizziness as well as neck pain. Many already-published studies, both clinical and basic science, detail the relationship of cervical disc degeneration and dizziness. A new study pointed out that cervicogenic general dizziness was diagnosed in 89% of such patients. Improper neck postures over long time periods may contribute when there is existing degenerative cervical disc disease. Men and women have different triggers for their dizziness. For example, farming, gardening, and weeding may initiate general dizziness, particularly in women who are older. (1) Surgeons reporting on a new surgical approach to relieving chronic neck pain explained that current clinical and immunohistochemical studies strongly suggested that chronic neck pain and intractable dizziness arose from degenerated cervical spine discs. The dizziness occurred with only cervical disc degeneration alone without cervical radiculopathy or myelopathy. (2) Such cervical spine degenerative disc disease also has been found to be accompanied by inflammation, specifically inflammatory cytokines that affect mechanoreceptors like the Ruffini corpuscles in degenerated discs resulting in dizziness. The good news: a majority of cervical spine disc disease patients and related dizziness report that conservative treatment is effective for them. (3) Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic is the home for conservative chiropractic care of Montreal neck pain and degenerated cervical discs.

CHIROPRACTIC CONSERVATIVE CARE FOR DIZZINESS

An Australian study of chiropractic care of neck pain patients who also reported dizziness revealed that chiropractic is often used by these patients to handle their neck pain. One in five people over age 70 years experienced neck pain. 57.3% of chiropractors reported that the neck pain and associated dizziness was moderately responsive to their chiropractic conservative care. (4) Dr. Hoang's Chiropractic Clinic utilizes the Cox® Technic System of Spinal Pain Management in treating cervical disc degeneration and its related Montreal neck pain.
